Damage to Parklands Club in Parklands, Cronton

Detectives are appealing for information following burglary and criminal damage at function rooms in Knowsley last week.

At some point between midnight and 8.15am on Monday 3 December, unknown offenders forced entry to Parklands Club in Parklands, Cronton, close to the border with Cheshire.

Cash was stolen and considerable damage caused to the premises, including fruit machines, internal doors and electrical equipment.

Forensic, CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Detective Constable Roy Waller said: "As the pictures show, the devastation caused to this local business will be massive. Not only have they lost money, but the criminal damage will incur further inconvenience, distress and repair costs.

"Burglars have no regard for the many hard-working people in our communities, so I would urge anyone who saw or heard anything, or anyone behaving suspiciously close to the location in recent weeks to come forward.

"Likewise, if you have seen any unfamiliar vehicles parked in the vicinity, or have recorded anything you think is untoward on home CCTV, or dashcam, let us know. I want to reassure our local businesses that we will act on all information provided to bring those responsible to justice."

Anyone with information is asked to contact @MerPolCC, call 101 with reference 18400054150, or you can provide information anonymously to @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111.
