Arrest following assault in Bootle

We have arrested a male following a report of an assault in Bootle on Sunday 21 July.

Officers were called to North Park, Hornby Road, at around 2.30pm. On arrival they found a man who was bleeding from a number of wounds to his body, including his chest, abdomen, head, buttocks, legs, hands and arms. The injuries are believed to have been caused by a knife.

The man is in a stable condition.

A 15-year-old male from Bootle voluntarily attended a police station and was arrested on suspicion of a section 18 assault and released on conditional bail.
