Appeal following assault in Bootle

We are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault at a pub in Bootle last month.

A report was received that a woman was struck to the face inside the Wild Rose pub on Stanley Road at about 11pm on Sunday, 21 April.

It is believed the incident was of a domestic nature.

A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation.

CCTV opportunities shave been explored and a number of potential witnesses spoken to.

Officers investigating the incident are directly appealing to anyone else who may have witnessed the offence to come forward.
