Appeal and warning to public after medication stolen in burglary - Egremont

Merseyside Police is appealing for the public to be cautious after items including prescription medication were stolen from a house in Egremont between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday, 4 September. 

It was reported that the items had been stolen from an address in Rice Hey Road, including the following: 

200 x 30mg dyhdrocodiene
116 x 100mg Quetiapine
28 x 15mg metazapine

Officers are reminding people that taking any medication which has not been prescribed for them can be dangerous and, in some circumstances, can prove fatal. The burglary is under investigation.

Anyone with information on the burglary or who finds any of the medication is asked to hand it in to any pharmacy or police station and contact @MerPolCC, 101 quoting ref. 19100500412, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
